This month we're exploring a loving-kindness centered approach to the Inner Critic, building off one of the Parts (from Internal Family Systems) and the Cognitive Distortions (part of Maya or illusion, that we focused on last month). I talk about the fallacy that self-criticism is an effective motivator (with support from Dr. Kristin Neff's work) and how we can work with the inner critic without distracting ourselves trying to get away from the sting it leaves over and over again.
